Gdańsk / Gdynia | Cooperation with MOST Logistic Together with our partner MOST Logistic, we completed a project that clearly demonstrates how efficient Poland → Ukraine transport can work using rail. The containers arrived at the ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia. At this stage, the key decision was simple: no additional operations in Poland – we organized a direct transshipment from vessel to train. Thanks to this, the cargo immediately entered transit toward the border with Ukraine – no warehousing, no unnecessary handling. After arriving in Ukraine, the containers are reloaded onto trucks and delivered directly to the consignee. The last mile is under full control. Why does this setup work? ✅ No additional cargo handling in Poland – reduces risk and costs ✅ Direct transit from the port shortens total transport time ✅ Rail is more cost-effective for long distances ✅ Transit time to the terminal in Ukraine is approximately 2 days ✅ Distribution in Ukraine is faster and easier to plan The combination of rail and road transport provides a good balance between time, cost, and supply stability. 🚂 Planning Poland–Ukraine transport? You don’t have to choose between cost and punctuality. Rail + well-organized transshipment is the formula for a repeatable and predictable supply chain. Let’s talk about your volumes.
Gdańsk | Market analysis by Global Ocean Link Poland Delays at sea in the third quarter almost certainly lead to costly air freight in December – these market waves are rarely a coincidence. At Global Ocean Link Poland, we analyze hard data and show how planning based on the 3-6-9 rule can truly stabilize your supply chain, so no one gets burned by costs. Yeah, numbers don’t lie. Sea transport currently handles over 80% of world trade, which means seasonality in 2026 remains a key driver of operational strategies. Analyses by Global Ocean Link Poland show a strong correlation: the ocean peak (July–October) precedes the air freight peak by about 2–3 months. This means that any delays or lack of space in Q3 directly force a shift to expensive air cargo during Black Friday and Double 11. Optimizing your supply chain requires using the so-called “Golden Window” in Q2 to renegotiate contracts. As an alternative to maritime congestion, Global Ocean Link Poland offers “mid-speed” rail transport with transit times of 14–16 days. This effectively secures goods that are highly sensitive to delays, such as electronics or apparel, while avoiding the highest airfreight rates in Q4. Implementing the 3-6-9 rule (planning 3 months ahead) and focusing transshipments through the port of Gdańsk (2.8 million TEU) are key elements of our offering for the CEE region. Global Ocean Link Poland recommends building buffer stock as early as the third quarter – a solution that is significantly more cost-effective than emergency air deliveries in December. 📊 Your Q4 can be calmer – but act now Want to avoid December air freight rates? At Global Ocean Link Poland, we use dedicated coil-mulda trailers and proven transshipment points to ensure cargo safety at every stage. We currently handle between 50 and 100 steel containers per month on a regular basis. This scale of operations confirms that the processes we have developed simply work in practice. For our partners, this primarily means peace of mind and predictability. Heavy cargo logistics is our specialty – an area we feel confident in and continuously develop. Why do our partners trust us? ✅ Dedicated coil-mulda trailers ✅ Proven transshipment points – risk minimization ✅ Consistency – 50–100 containers per month ✅ Safety at every stage of transport We invite you to talk about optimizing your supply chain. We’ll be happy to share our knowledge and prepare a customized cooperation proposal. Do you handle steel or heavy cargo transport?
