Ukrainian Vyshyvanka Day at Global Ocean Link Poland

Gdańsk | Ukrainian tradition in an international team Today we celebrate Ukrainian Vyshyvanka Day! Look at us in our office wearing traditional Ukrainian vyshyvankas (embroidered shirts). Our team is an international mix, but because Global Ocean Link Poland has Ukrainian roots, for many of us it has already become a small tradition to wear national costumes on this day. Common Financial and Communication Standards

Lviv | Common financial and communication standards Last week, a meeting of the chief accountants and financial directors of the Global Ocean Link group from Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania took place. International transport and modern logistics require perfect synchronization. That’s why we spent so much time thoroughly analyzing financial processes and developing common, uniform working principles. A key point of the program was also a professional training session on effective communication – because good teamwork is the foundation of success. All these actions have one goal: we want your daily cargo handling to be even faster, safer, and fully transparent. The standards we have developed are already translating into the quality of our daily work, making it easier to handle even the most complex logistics projects. Planning Poland-Ukraine transport or cross-border logistics projects? Good organization starts with clear principles – financial and communication ones! Cooperation with MOST Logistic: 51 Containers from Poland to Ukraine

Gdańsk / Gdynia | Cooperation with MOST Logistic Together with our partner MOST Logistic, we completed a project that clearly demonstrates how efficient Poland → Ukraine transport can work using rail. The containers arrived at the ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia. At this stage, the key decision was simple: no additional operations in Poland – we organized a direct transshipment from vessel to train. Thanks to this, the cargo immediately entered transit toward the border with Ukraine – no warehousing, no unnecessary handling. After arriving in Ukraine, the containers are reloaded onto trucks and delivered directly to the consignee. The last mile is under full control. Why does this setup work? ✅ No additional cargo handling in Poland – reduces risk and costs ✅ Direct transit from the port shortens total transport time ✅ Rail is more cost-effective for long distances ✅ Transit time to the terminal in Ukraine is approximately 2 days ✅ Distribution in Ukraine is faster and easier to plan The combination of rail and road transport provides a good balance between time, cost, and supply stability. 🚂 Planning Poland–Ukraine transport? You don’t have to choose between cost and punctuality. Rail + well-organized transshipment is the formula for a repeatable and predictable supply chain. Let’s talk about your volumes. Delays at Sea = Expensive Air Freight

Gdańsk | Market analysis by Global Ocean Link Poland Delays at sea in the third quarter almost certainly lead to costly air freight in December – these market waves are rarely a coincidence. At Global Ocean Link Poland, we analyze hard data and show how planning based on the 3-6-9 rule can truly stabilize your supply chain, so no one gets burned by costs. Yeah, numbers don’t lie. Sea transport currently handles over 80% of world trade, which means seasonality in 2026 remains a key driver of operational strategies. Analyses by Global Ocean Link Poland show a strong correlation: the ocean peak (July–October) precedes the air freight peak by about 2–3 months. This means that any delays or lack of space in Q3 directly force a shift to expensive air cargo during Black Friday and Double 11. Optimizing your supply chain requires using the so-called “Golden Window” in Q2 to renegotiate contracts. As an alternative to maritime congestion, Global Ocean Link Poland offers “mid-speed” rail transport with transit times of 14–16 days. This effectively secures goods that are highly sensitive to delays, such as electronics or apparel, while avoiding the highest airfreight rates in Q4. Implementing the 3-6-9 rule (planning 3 months ahead) and focusing transshipments through the port of Gdańsk (2.8 million TEU) are key elements of our offering for the CEE region. Global Ocean Link Poland recommends building buffer stock as early as the third quarter – a solution that is significantly more cost-effective than emergency air deliveries in December. 📊 Your Q4 can be calmer – but act now Want to avoid December air freight rates? Let’s talk about your schedule. Contact us: 📧 [email protected] ☎️ +48 882 921 294 ul. Poland strengthens its Baltic presence, Gdansk on the rise

From Obscurity to Leader – How Poland Changed the Balance of Power in the Baltic Sea? Poland is dynamically developing its potential in maritime trade, with the Port of Gdansk playing a key role in this process. Over the past dozen years, the country has overtaken all EU countries in terms of transshipment in the Baltic Sea, and Gdansk has advanced to the top of European ports. Will Poland be able to maintain its leading position in the Baltic Sea in the coming years? Back in 2004, when Poland joined the European Union, domestic ports had little significance in international trade. Transshipments were smaller than in Latvian ports, and transport development was mainly based on road connections. Until 2009, the situation remained largely unchanged – the volume of transshipments did not grow, and the importance of Polish ports decreased. The breakthrough came in 2010. From that moment on, transshipments began to grow rapidly, and the share in the European market systematically increased. Poland successively overtook other Baltic countries – in 2010 Germany, in 2019 Sweden, in 2021 Denmark, in 2022 Finland, and in 2023 the total value of transshipments from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The biggest beneficiary of this development is Gdansk. In 2008, it ranked only 64th in terms of transshipments in Europe, in 2013 it advanced to 41st, in 2018 to 23rd, and in 2023 it was already 7th in the entire European Union. In the Baltic Sea, it is today the largest port among EU member states and one of the most important in the entire region. Maritime trade is of strategic importance for economic development. Ports provide connections with key markets around the world, attract investment and create new jobs. Maintaining this growth momentum will be crucial to further strengthening its position in international trade. And if you are looking for proven logistics solutions, Global Ocean Link Poland is at your disposal. We handle the transport of all types of cargo to and from Baltic ports – quickly, safely and professionally. 📧 [email protected] ☎ +48 882 921 294 Aleja Grunwaldzka 212, 80-266 Gdańsk, Poland
