The Port of Gdańsk ranks 13th in the ranking of EU container ports

According to the latest data, the Port of Gdańsk maintains its position among the top European container ports, ranking 13th in the European Union. Importantly, in the first half of this year, there was a significant increase in transshipments here, which contrasts with the port in Hamburg, where a decrease of 0.3% was recorded.

The Port of Gdańsk has been developing dynamically since 2007, when the deep-water container terminal DCT Gdańsk, now known as Baltic Hub, was opened. Since then, our port can boast the largest growth in the European Union – as much as 2016.4%! For comparison, the port of Hamburg recorded a decline of 22% during the same period.

Conversely, another German port, Bremerhaven, gained 12.8% in the first half of the year, but year-on-year it recorded a decline of 8.6%.
