In 2023, the Port of Gdansk was promoted to 9th position in the ranking of the largest seaports in Europe in terms of transshipment. This is a jump of two places compared to 2022 and 7th place among the ports of the European Union.
Gdansk has overtaken such giants as Marseille, Valencia and even Amsterdam. This is an exceptional achievement, given that only two ports out of the top ten recorded increases in transhipment last year.
